Well I decided to show off the new SHQ Mini’s I got for the France 1940 game. A German Staff HQ set.

Aerial view

We used this HQ set by SHQ Miniatures as the divisonal high command for the Panzer divisions for our 1940 game

They come with all the figures on the main base and also include the table oil drums to rest on and the map, the truck is from another range.

88's

The set blends in nicely along with these anti-air 88’s all by SHQ Miniatures.

The crews for the 88’s are all SHQ Miniatures as is the equipment on the bases. Spent shells, wicker basket casing’s and ammo boxes. The HQ fits in nicely with the whole scene. I like the way each base has taken on it’s own appeal as it’s own small diorama.

Here is the moment that the German counter attack hit a sticky patch, taken in the flank as it went in the German armour suffered tremendously.

Panzers bailed out.

Panzer III and II’s bailed out and burnining on the edge of a wood in our recent WWII.

The counter attack was spearheaded by the German Panzer III’s, with PZ II’s in support, hitting the anti tank squad wasn’t a problem, it was the battalion of supporting infantry that hurt

Panzer III and II’s counter attacked in the flank as the assault goes in! The Matilda I’s are from the SHQ Miniatures Range.

….ooh and the Matilda I’s pouring .50 cal machine gun fire into them as they assaulted!

One of the more recent additions to the German Allies for the Napoleonic French. Westphalian Lancers by Elite miniatures, painted by Neil Sheardown and based by Stephen Scott.

A nice close up as well.

The 1st Regiment of Westphalian Chevau Leger Lancier. Painted by Neil Sheardown, great paint job.

This close up shows loads of detail. Neil certainly has a great talent.

More tomorrow.
