Generals,

I am off on a short break for a couple of weeks. The first for many years.

I will address all enquiries on my return on 27th Dec. 2014.

Merry Xmas to you all!

Thanks for all your support over the last year.

Good afternoon Generals,

A little while ago I had the privilege of hosting another 15mm re-enactment designed by Andy Thomlinson and Doug Birnie, ably assisted by the members of the Loughton Strike Force and some honourary members and their collections. The battle was going to be Aspern ESsling using the very impressive General de Brigade rules written by Dave Brown.

The boards, terrain and buildings were all from the collection of Doug and Andy, the figures came from a multitude of the members.

The images tell the story of how the Battle progressed and offer an insight to the sheer size of one of these 15mm games at the Wargames Holiday Centre, utilising all the 420 sqare feet of playing surface.

Just hover over the images to get an idea of what the image depicts.

My thanks to the lads, for making it all possible.

As it is the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo I am hosting a series of linked battles from the campaign. We start with Ligny, then Quater Bras and finishing with Waterloo.

You will have to really consider your strategy and commitment in the battles prior to the Battle of Waterloo, dare you commit your Guard at Ligny? Or as the Allies stop the French at Quatre Bras.

Starting on the Wednesday and running through until the following Sunday, these ever popular campaign weeks are a really popular occasion, so get signed up early to avoid disappointment.

Just for this who cannot make the week in June!

If you fancy a go at this iconic battle of the Napoleonic War, let me know.

New to the WHC, well I will be offering a half price introduction offer to anyone “New” reserving a place here in the Kingsclere site. Essentially if you have never been here, I will offer you a ticket for the full weekend for half price.

The battle of Lutzen, this is a great game for anyone looking to get into Napoleonics, it is essentially an encounter battle, so the pace is friendly and anyone looking to experience Napoleonics at the Wargames Holiday Centre for the first time would love it!

So don the French Blue or the Prussian Black and have at ye!

I will be at Salute helping promote our Ancients weekend and the new rules by Simon Miller “To the Strongest”/
