Operation Brunswick, Southern Sector Eastern Front Summer 1942
This weekend pits the might of the German Army against the Soviet forces. Based on the German offensive which led to Stalingrad, this game offers the chance for you to use our vast collection of WW2 figures and tanks in an Eastern front epic.
Set in the mid war period the game offers something different. Panzer IIIs, Lend lease tanks,Soviet cavalry and Fallschirmjager!
Historically the German advance was held up and allowed the Soviets to establish a defensive front at Stalingrad. What if their advance had been quicker?
Our game tweaks history, elements of the 7th Flieger division will seize a key crossing over the river Chir in advance of the Panzer Divisions
Can the Germans do better than history, reach and cross the Chir sooner or will the Soviet hordes stall the offensive?
You can decide!
Using our slightly adapted version of the ever popular Rapid Fire WWII rules. We offer a great chance to re-write the pages of history.

Good evening Generals
I just wanted to show off a new command stand given to me by my good friend David Balfour.
These are all Perry’s with some being the older Wargames Foundry figures.
It depicts the Warlord Games “Chamberlain” and the Perry Miniatures “Strong Vincent” at Gettysburg.
A welcome addition, thank you David.
Here at the Wargames Holiday Centre we are hosting or first Waterloo game that will be open to the public.

All the original Peter Gilder models and terrain are still used and are in tip top condition as you can see.
This weekend of the 29th May to the 31st May sees us presenting yet another of our WWII extravaganza games! If you want in, then pop me a line!

We will be re-enacting some of the fighting during Operation Epsom.
Using the kit put together by veteran gamer Johnnie boy Bravo of Salute fame!
There are literally hundreds of tanks, vehicles, guns and infantry, on the most breathtaking of terrain!
Starting on Friday 29th May and going right through to 31st May. The game will truly be MEGA!
The rules used are an adaptation of “Crossfire” by Arty Cunliffe. Revised with ranges in mind and some visibility, not to mention Tanks and aircraft!!
Tried and tested, the last three games have been a huge success, so much so, the places have been refilled by past guests, so there are only a couple of places left.
Here is a great chance to get involved with our third outing of our Ancient Battles weekend.
The games cover the very beginnings of Rome right through to the bitter end, so you will get embroiled with Carthaginians, Romans and Celts right up to the Picts.

There will be at least five battles throughout the weekend
You will get the opportunity to play each one at least once.
We are using the tried and tested “To the Strongest” written and demonstrated by Simon Miller.
We will have a participation ga,e at Salute, so come on over and say hi!
