Well….I like to think it’s about having fun and being taken aback at the quality and size of the experience that is the Wargames Holiday Centre. Over 30 years of experience have gone into the making of this Wargaming Mecca????? In general the average wargamer wants to re-fight historical battles in their favourite period, generally this will be on a good size table with suitably proportioned figures in units of a size that lend something to the size of the gaming area.
Here at the Wargames Holiday Centre we do it on a grand scale, whole armies clash on a playing surface of 450 sq ft. Allowing us to field thousands of figures per side with battalions of 30-40 figures each. If you have ever had an inkling to take part in a re-fight of the Battle of Waterloo, or lead the charge into the Great Redoubt at Borodino then that’s what we’re about!
Our periods covered are the Napoleonic war, the American Civil War, The Marlburian period and WWII.
The figures are from a range of manufacturers, the scales are from 25-28mm for all the periods, except WWII which we present in 20mm..
