Please note I will not be hosting any Public events from 31st January 2023. Nothing too drastic from our side, just need a break.

I’ll be providing updates when we’re back, here and on my social media platforms.

Thank you for all the custom and friendship this has brought me to date.

I look forward to seeing you all again soon, both new and old customers.

Fought around Arras this fighting took place during the Battle of France. Take command of the Panzer divisions or lead the counter attack with a British Division. This early war game is heavily reliant on manouevre, infantry tactics and artillery support. Can you succeed as the Germans or drive them back as the Allies?

A real pyrrhic victory, can you repeat the success of the Anglo-German and Dutch force against the French, take the Redans and drive them before you, or will you raise the hat of Boufflers and lead the counter charge of the Maison du Roi….This is a real tough battle for the allies and the French are significantly outnumbered, so take your pick and change the course of the battle!

Last year we re-fought the Peninsular, 1808 through to 1809. This year will see the battles of 1813 refought. Six days of linked battles with such favourites such as Bautzen, Dresden, Leipzig and Lutzen to choose from.

All the battles will affect the troops turning up for the next game, so you’ll need to be careful with your Guard troops.

An absolute must for the keen Napoleonic fan, beginners and veterans alike….turn up on the Sunday and depart the following Saturday morning. All at the new price of £300.00 (excluding accommodation)

The first serious engagement between the British forces under Wellesley, allied to the Spanish junta Cuesta.

What turned out to be the final stages of the battle of Ramillies, the central reserve of Hessians, Prussians and Austrian cavalry moved purposefully toward the thinly held Franco-Bavarian centre.

The Centre

Hessians take on the French Line.

Central Reserve

The Prussian Central reserve

The Bavarian and French line regiments stood firm and looked to hold their position for as long as possible.

Bavarian Wing

The Bavarian wing awaiting the advance of the Allied troops.

Their Irish mercenaries would sell themselves dearly!

Irish and Prussian engage

The Prussian Central reserve clash with part of the French centre, one of the Irish mercenaries.

On the wings the Garde Francais began to give ground, the casualties had mounted however Orkneys troops were in no shape to press the attack.

The British and French Line

British Line still look to press the defence of the Little Gheete

The Elector’s wing still held the Dutch and Danish troops off, casualties were high on both sides here as well.

The lines of the Centre

The Prussians and Hessians of the central reserve attack.

Unfortunately by late afternoon on the Sunday, the Prussian and Hessian lines, along with some of the Hanoverians were pushing back the centre, the wings were then looking for a withdrawal to save what remained of the army. The cavalry of both sides was still in quite good order, so there would be something of a stale mate for the pursuit.

French defence

French Line Battalions attempt to hold the line.

The French Marshal Villars would live to fight another day, sadly the same could not be said for the British line and the Gardes Francais!!

Dutch Troops

Dutch troops of the allied left, push hard on to the Bavarians!

A hard fought battle, with loads of manoeuvre and tactical play. I’m already looking forward to Malplaquet.

The opening battle of the great American Civil War, who will you choose to lead, the Confederate or Union.
